About the Author
Juliette MacIver is an award-winning children’s picture book author of many
Scholastic titles such as the hilarious and surprising Duck Goes Meow, winner of
the 2023 New Zealand Best Picture Book award; the wonderful Marmaduke Duck
series and numerous other picture books. She has also penned a junior
fiction trilogy, Faelan the Wolf.
Juliette has a Masters degree in Linguistics, and a Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.
She lives near Wellington with her husband and four children.
About the Illustrator
Lily Uivel has always loved to draw more than anything else, and would spend all of her spare time sketching and studying illustration. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art, she worked for years as a props maker and designer, most recently in London. Returning to New Zealand when Covid arrived, Lily decided to give illustration a go and has since illustrated more than ten children’s books. She lives in Days Bay, Wellington, with her partner and dog.
