Allen & Unwin Aotearoa New Zealand is a vibrant, innovative and multiple award-winning publisher. We are part of the Allen & Unwin group, which is the largest independent publisher in Australia, with offices in the United Kingdom as well as Sydney and Melbourne. We are the New Zealand home of Faber & Faber, Swift, Profile, Canongate, Atlantic, Granta, Nosy Crow and others.

Our list of New Zealand published books has grown substantially in recent years and we are now the second largest local trade publisher in the country. We’ve established an extremely strong adult non-fiction list, achieving the best-selling New Zealand book of the year for the last four years running. We’re known for our highly successful memoirs, cookbooks, lifestyle guides and other illustrated titles, and alongside this we are developing adult fiction and children’s lists.

Our growing children’s list includes picture books, middle grade fiction and YA fiction and with several highly talented writers and illustrators on board, we’re very excited about the potential for our books both locally and internationally.
