Tōku Korowai is a beautifully illustrated picture book that introduces children to the powerful concept developed by Deanwell School – that every child descends from greatness, born with their own korowai (cloak).
This korowai is a metaphor that represents their identity, language, culture and story, woven together by the strength and wisdom of their ancestors. With each new experience and every lesson learned, children add to their korowai, enriching it with knowledge and resilience.
This heartfelt book celebrates the uniqueness of every child and inspires them to embrace their korowai with pride.
