Allen & Unwin Aotearoa New Zealand is a vibrant, innovative and multiple award-winning publisher. We are part of the Allen & Unwin group, which is the largest independent publisher in Australia, with offices in the United Kingdom as well as Sydney and Melbourne. We are the New Zealand home of Faber & Faber, Swift, Profile, Canongate, Atlantic, Granta, Nosy Crow and others.

Our list of New Zealand published books has grown substantially in recent years and we are now the second largest local trade publisher in the country. We’re known for our best-selling and award-winning memoirs, cookbooks and other non-fiction titles; and alongside this we are developing strong adult fiction and children’s lists.

Our children’s list includes picture books, middle grade fiction, non-fiction and YA fiction, and we have a growing number of terrific titles within these categories. With several highly talented writers and illustrators on board, we’ve been delighted by the glowing accolades and awards we’ve received.
