Poppy Panda is at Buddy Bear’s birthday party, but where are all the guests? A bilingual read-along book with audio, in Italian and English, teaching vocabulary (family members, and rooms and common items in the home) and simple sentence structure. Poppy and Buddy bilingual books are designed to help young children learn a second language quickly by allowing them to easily correlate art with words, in two languages.
About the Author
Skipi Nova (author) became interested in language learning from countless hours of reading books to his young twins and observing the role that read-along picture books play in children’s language acquisition. Based on the proven scientific fact that the best time in life to learn a second language is before age 7, Skipi decided to write and design bilingual books for pre-school and early school-age children to give them a rapid head-start in becoming bi- or multi-lingual.
Richard Hoit has a background in art and art history and has been illustrating children’s books for 25 years, working across a diverse range of projects: picture books, magazines, and educational resources, and collaborating with independent authors, reaching young readers internationally. From whimsical and humorous to atmospheric and moody, he confidently interprets manuscripts and brings stories vividly to life. He has partnered with many publishers, including Pearson New Zealand, Pearson Australia, McGraw-Hill, Cengage, Oxford University Press, Learning Media, Cleanslate Press, Global Education, Simply Literacy, Macmillan, National Geographic, Sunshine Books, and Upstart Press as well as numerous independent authors.
